Ah, at last I found it, after looking at an old suitcase filled with chess books. Sorry for necroing an old thread, but here it is:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4OlCbT-QQLpSHJWNllPUDJ3WlU/edit?usp=sharing
88 pages, a lot of analysis which is probably not-so-relevant today. i have also discovered in the suitcase a few other Buecker books I have bought many years ago.

I posted the above game because it is different from Buecker's idea, and different from what I would like to play against this variation.   I prefer the method that Buecker mentioned.  Howbeit, this is a blistering win for White.  I would like to see what you guys think about this approach, instead of the Nc3-d4 approach.

Ok, I changed the title of the thread to reflect the correct spelling!

The publisher "Franckh" is now known under the name "Kosmos". I don´t think they have any chess titles in their catalogue anymore but I do have some of their old titles in my library. Still an interesting read from time to time.

I don´t know about Walter Rau but haven´t seen any chess books under this imprint for years.

But I've found reference to a 1980 pamphlet (51 pages) on the Norwald(er) Gambit in German. WOW!  Shocked

As it was translated in Dutch I have known about 2...Qf6 since 25 years or so.
Thomas Johansson (Taljechin) has dealt with it in both his books on the KG.

For those who can read German:

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stefan_Bücker

Btw, do those German publishers still exist (Franckh, Walter Rau)?

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

Thanks Smyslov for the humor!  I admit I didn't know much about it, but they guy I mentioned, he is a lot stronger than me, and I figure he probably has all the Kaissiber work!

Thank you Stefan for that.  That super-early g3, my friend and I were covering a line from the Johannesen book last night, and the king ran to g2 and opened his h-file.

Anyway, glad to see you post the early d4...I like playing that approach more than the Bc4 ideas in the KG (although that may change as I learn more about these positions).

ALSO -thanks for the background on the name!  My favorite part of the game is the opening, and I always am a bit fascinated by how an opening gets its name.

Happy New Year!  I will post your response in our KG forum on chess.com for some discussion.  Thank you very much!

Yes, it was a monography on 2...Qf6. The pamphlet in German appeared in two editions: the first was a single booklet, the second consisted of two booklets. The third edition was the (much improved, about 96 pages) book published by Franckh-Kosmos, the Stuttgart publisher. That book also appeared in a translated edition (Dutch). The correct title is "Die Nordwalder Variante". In his "Unorthodox Openings" Eric Schiller left away the first "d" and made it "Norwalde". The little village Nordwalde was the place where I lived for 50 years. There was analysis in Kaissiber which seemed to give White an advantage, starting with 3.Nc3 Qxf4 4.d4 Qh4+ 5.g3 and so on.

I originally wrote,

"I sincerely doubt that Stefan has written an entire book about 2...Qf6?!, but you could check his Kaissiber column to see what he's written about it."

But I've found reference to a 1980 pamphlet (51 pages) on the Norwald(er) Gambit in German. WOW!  Shocked

I was discussing this variation on chess.com, and one of the members, Panayotis Frendzas, was saying that Stefan Buecker had wrote a book on 1. e4 e5 2. f4 Qf6!?, calling it the Norwalder Variation.  Panayotis recommended that Black take the f-pawn with the queen, but this approach looks very risque for me.  I would be interested in hearing some feedback for handling the White pieces.  Right now, I am interested in looking at a straight-forward approach aiming for d4 , but I saw a blistering game with Nc3, Bc4, 0-0 and straight for f7.
