I don't really understand 7.Nh4, especially when 7.0-0 0-0 8.Qc2 is established as being a bit better for White.

Chapter 3 of the first book of the kramnik series:

1.Nf3 Nf6 2.c4 d6 3.d4 Nbd7 4.Nc3 c6 5.e4 e5 6.Be2 Be7 7.00 a6!? for this move they recommend 7. Nh4 and say this gives white edge

Now my question is  as follows

if Nh4 gives edge then why dont we do a little move oder change and play like this

1.Nf3 Nf6 2.c4 c6 3.d4 Nbd7 4.Nc3 c6 5.e4 e5 6.Be2 Be7 and now  why not play the Nh4 move with the same idea as in the previous line? instead why we castle?

please someone who is studying that series help me...thanks a lot. Smiley
