Are there too many threads on the BDG?
Dear all,
I'm taking advantage of my newly aquired status as member of this forum to ask your opinion on this matter. I couldn't help noticing the obscene amount of threads devoted to this very... Started 03/21/06 at 14:39:09 by Uberdecker « Pages 1 2 all » |

What are your replies to the Langheincke Defense.
As a BDG'er, I was wondering how people choose to meet. 1. d4 d5 2. e4 dxe4 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. f4 e3 5. Bxe3.
After this move, Black has three major variations. (1) e6 (2) g6 (3) Bf5.<... Started 01/20/04 at 20:02:45 by Teyko |

Antidotes to the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit
Hi all, I am currently doing a lot of work on antidotes to the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit.
In the past respectable chess players treated this as being a load of old cobblers and did not write about i... Started 01/03/09 at 23:25:15 by flaviddude « Pages 1 2 ... 17 18 19 all » |

Simple answer to BDG
For those not inclined to try and refute the gambit there appears to be a decent way to defuse it.
After 1.d4 d5 2.e4 dxe4 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.f3 Nbd7!?, is an annoying move for the BDG specialist trying... Started 04/06/11 at 04:34:16 by Glenn Snow « Pages 1 2 3 all » |

why isn't Blackmar-Diemer played by GMs
why is the Blackmar-Diemer played so rarely at higher levels? There doesn't seem to be any particularly safe line for Black - or am I missing something here. White seems to get a ferocious attack for ...

BDG in the Alekhine
I play the Alekhine as Black and have come up against the BDG in the line 1.e4 Nf6 2.Nc3 d5 3.e4 etc. Are there any lines against the BDG that would work for Black due to this move order.
