Diverging in the Ponz: 3...Nf6 4.d4 exd4 5.e5 Ne4
As the title alludes to, in the Ponz, after1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. c3 Nf6 4. d4 exd4 5.e5 Ne4, and then 6.Qe2 f5 7.exf6 d5 8.Nbd2, instead of 8...Qxf6, Black can instead try 8...Bf5!? Then after White...

Question about 2...Bc5
After 1.e4 e5 and 2.Nf3 the move 2. ...Bc5 seems to be rare and kind of ignored by a couple of books I have checked. Is it best to just play 3. Bc4 to continue towards the Italian or is there a way to...

Move 4 innovation in the Bishop's/Vienna complex
My engine has found the essentially unplayed 1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Bb3!?
Quick notes about it, the "idea" is 4...Na5 5. d4 Also, after 4...Bc5 (or 4...a5 per the engine), though possib... Started 06/03/23 at 22:08:04 by George Jempty |
